Assessment of new scientific information for transgenic carnation FLO-40644-6 (Florigene®Moonlite™)

Key message:
Upon request from The Norwegian Environment Agency, VKM has assessed whether new scientific information provided in the renewal application for transgenic carnation FLO-40644-6 (Application C/NL/04/02-002 received in accordance with Directive 2001/18/EC) changes VKMs previous conclusions in the risk assessment conducted during the original application in 2015.
VKM concludes that the new information does not indicate an altered risk that would change the conclusions in VKMs previous risk assessment of transgenic carnation FLO-40644-6. VKM has no comments/enquires regarding the application that should be conveyed by the Norwegian Environment Agency during the EU scientific hearing, which has a deadline 13. June 2026.
This document is an update to the original VKM health and environmental risk assessment of transgenic carnation event FLO-40644-6 (VKM Report 2015: 15).
